Great Knot, Pak Thale saltpans, Thailand, on 28th November 2008.
Approx. 100 birds were found at Pak Thale but the better place to see this species usually is
Laem Pak Bia, some 10 km to the south. The roost on the saltpans at Laem Pak Bia
regularly hold up to 1000 birds in winter were they are joined by a few Red Knots at times, with
both Grey Plover and Nordmann's Greenshank closely following up the flocks of Great Knots.
